Mining, near buildings or homes, has always been the subject of complicated debates when it comes to the origin of cracks in buildings. Residents believe they were created by mine explosions, while for operators, seismic levels are not enough to create or enlarge the cracks. However, where is the truth? In trying to answer this question, not from a theoretical point of view but from a practical point of view, we have developed a technology that allows us to associate the vibrations of buildings and the development of their cracks, directly and in real time. Therefore, it becomes possible to respond in a simple and objective way to the question of the link between cause and effect of vibrations and cracks. There are many examples to support this.
