Natural and temperature gamma probe (GRT38)

This probe provides a solution for cases where only one natural gamma record of basic total counts is required, and also provides a measurement of well fluid temperature, useful for correcting other records. Based on a ø 25 x 50 mm NaI (Tl) scintillation crystal detector coupled to a high performance photomultiplier tube, the probe has excellent sensitivity (± 1.2 cps / API unit) and provides a final result of high quality.

Description

Applications

In addition to its main function as a lithological or clay indicator, a natural gamma measure is often used as the basis for establishing correlations between the perforations and to ensure a precise depth match between different registration paths performed in the same perforation.
