Electromagnetic induction probe (DIL38 / DIL38G)

This probe generates an electromagnetic field in the well and measures the response of the formations to this field. The probe takes and digitizes the measurements both in phase and in quadrature to transmit them to the surface equipment. In this way, formation conductivity and magnetic susceptibility data can be obtained, even in dry wells or equipped with PVC.

Description

Applications

  • Mainly geophysical prospecting for measures of density, gravity, magnetic susceptibility, electrical properties.

Geophysical surveys at the bottom of the well are incredibly valuable because they directly measure the properties that normally only involve complex models of data collected on the surface.
